JUST IN TIME FOR MEMORIAL DAY

Memorial Day Outfit

DRESS // EARRINGS (Similar HERE) // PURSE // SHOES (similar HERE)

Many of you asked about the dress I wore to the Lake Travis Education Foundation’s Butterfly Brunch so I am here to give you a little insiders look – just in time to be inspired by red, white and blue for Memorial Day.

This Derek Lam off-the-shoulder dress is perhaps my FAVORITE I have purchased in a long time. Its light weight fabric is breezy for the already hot summer days, and it works great for day to night wear. In the images above, I paired it with a pair of thick heeled sandals (similar HERE) and a fabulous cork Elaine Turner bag. Add a pop of red color in the earrings and your all set for Memorial Day on the boat or out in the town!

Memorial Day is one of honor, and though it might sound silly to some, I feel appriciation can be shown in the things you wear. I know I’ll be dawning my red, white and blue loud and proud, will you??

Shop this look and similar ones throughout the post! And for those of you wanting a little gift, use discount code JYOUNG for 20% VIP access on all things Elaine Turner.

Make Mother’s Day Memorable This Year

Mother's Day

Where would we be without moms? Seriously… there are not enough words in the world to describe the impact, influence, and power that mothers have on the world.

Mine especially. Cynthia Eitel, your are a gift from God and my best friend. May this coming weekend bring you utter joy as we celebrate this special holiday together.

These super heroes of the planet cook, clean, and even wipe butts; they often make daily wake up calls to the not such happy permanent house guests {hello, middle schoolers who officially think I am uncool.} Moms always remember the little things, like where you left your shoes last week. When it comes to moms, I truly believe they should be graced with love!

So this Mother’s Day, I am going to make it super easy for you to drop a loving hint to your significant other or to those grown kids in your life. Here are my top picks for all that is fabulous, and helpful, in the gift giving apartment:

Mother's Day Earrings

  1. Jewels

Diamonds don’t have to be a girl’s best friend (though I wouldn’t say no)! This Mother’s Day I’m all about the statement pieces, and these Baublebar earrings are to live for. They are perfect for dressing up or wearing with jeans and a tee.

Mother's Day Planner

  1. Planner

This one is a bit self explanatory, because even the most organized of moms can’t always remember every little thing. Planning in style is always more fun. Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade have adorable planners and notebooks to compliment every mommas wardrobe.

Mother's Day Laptop Bag

  1. Laptop Bag

Stylish and practical, isn’t that a mom’s best recipe? These bags are far too cute to pass up, and can be personalized with your initials. Not only do they fit a lap top or tablet, but there is room for all the other little things you need on a daily basis.

Mother's Day Scrub

  1. Body Polish

Ohh la la, this body polish is perfection in a bottle! Give yourself a little R and R every once-in-a-while. Let your hubby bring the kids to bed, and slip into a big ole bath. Finish with this fabulous Moroccan rub for a perfect end to the busiest of days.

Mother's Day Flowers

  1. Flowers

Nothing says “I Love You Mom” more than your favorite flowers! Mine are peonies. They brighten up a room and give a subtle reminder of how delicate life is.

Mother's Day Candy

  1. Sweet Treat

Everyone has to cheat every once-in-a-while! Keeping on the subtle side of Mother’s Day gifts, candy is a winner in my heart. This Candy Warehouse is not only amazing for future parties, but is sure to give your family the option of ordering your favorite candies!

Mother's Day Bracelet

  1. Rose Gold Bangle

Kate Spade coming in for a WIN! This subtle rose gold bangle is perfection. It is sure to become one of your go-to staple items, and with good reason. It stacks well with other mixed metal bangles, or your everyday watch. And as I’ve said before, who doesn’t love a little bling?

Mother's Day Flats

  1. Valentino Rockstuds

A shoe you need in your collection. This is one of those items you might need to buy for yourself as an all time splurge. But I can tell you right now… You won’t ever regret it! Valentino has a place in my heart (right next to my fabulous kiddos). The designs are adorable, the fit is perfection, and it’s one of those items that makes people stop and stare.

Mother's Day Box

  1. Bon Vivant Gift Box

What is this cool little find you ask? Local to Austin, these gift boxes created by Steely Dipuccio Anderson are thoughtfully curated gift boxes perfect for any momma. For the relaxer, the new mom, and even the planner, there is a box for every-mom!

Mother's Day Necklace

  1. Aromatherapy Pendant

This is not only an adorable necklace, but you can add essential oils inside to breath in the stress relief all day long! What could be better? Just think, as you sit in the carpool line, relief rolls over you. Pure bliss.

BONUS GIFT

And for my lovely ladies wanting something extra special, I am offering a mini wardrobe makeover through this weekend. Purchase a Seasonal Wardrobe Nip & Tuck for your momma (or yourself) and take $100 off the original price. It’s the perfect way to pamper, and will leave you with even more confidence to take on motherhood in style! Email me before Sunday at MIDNIGHT to make this special gift a reality: jen@foreverstyled.com

Wishing you all a wonderful Mother’s Day full of love, fun, and a fabulous little gift!

Late But Lovely To The Valentine’s Game

Valentine’s Day is TOMORROW but I’ve decided this entire month should be dedicated to pampering myself a little bit at a time. Sound like something you might be interested in doing, too? Here are a few of my favorite things, picked to make you look and feel fabulous all day long:

1. STYLE MONEY: What better way to say I love you than with a little help from your friend? Nothing makes my heart happier than getting to help style clients and help improve their daily lives through their wardrobe. Gifting yourself some time with me, or even passing this gift idea along to your honey, is a sure fire way to feel great not just this month, but for the rest of your life!

2. METALLIC CLUTCH: No matter your age, a little bit of shine goes along way. Treat your fun and flirty side with a pop that doesn’t seem too over the top. Grabbing your little shiny hand bag on the way out makes for a fun night no matter what your plans are.

3. A PRETTY LITTLE BANGLE: My goal in life is to have a wardrobe that is versatile yet classic. This bracelet might just be the solution. Its adorable little details make for a look of the ages, and the statement it brings on your wrist will have all your girlfriends begging for the fashion deets.

4. PINK LIPS: It is the month of love after all… I only see that fit for a pouty pink lip. My collection of lip sticks go from drug store to designer, and they each represent a different mood. This February I encourage you all to try out a new brand or a new shade to see what it can do for you.

5. A SWEET SCARF: I don’t know about y’all, but the scarf scene as of late is making my heart pitter patter! I love to drape them over my tees, wrap them up with a leather jacket, or even tie a small handkerchief around my neck with a cute dress. Scarfs are in and I am crossing my fingers they stick around!

6. SOY DELICIOUS: Recently I found myself in contact with the owner of Soy Delicious’ sister, and boy did it change my life! These candles not only smell AMAZING, but once the wax melts it turns into lotion. Call it a two-for-one gift! How long have I been throwing away half burned candles with a ring of unmelted wax around the rim?? Well, never again now that I’ve found these amazing gems! If you purchase nothing else this month, I suggest you do yourself this one little favor!

So take on February 14th, and all the days that follow, with some great new additions to your wardrobe and beauty regime.

May your Valentine’s be full of chocolate and love,

Jen Young

Love Your Accessories This Valentines Day

Love Your Accessories

If you are anything like me it’s February 8th and you are just now realizing you haven’t taken a moment to even think about Valentine’s Day, let alone get any shopping done! Finding sweets for the kids won’t be too hard, and thanks to Target there are now pre-made boxes for their school desk. Sending a card to mom and dad is easy too, but where things get tough is thinking about your Valentine, and how to subtly drop hints at your special someone for what to buy you. Sometimes life gets crazy, and usually we are all short on time. So here is what I say to hacking Valentine’s Day… LOVE your accessories!

Who doesn’t like a new clutch or a fabulous necklace? And just like Beyoncé so rightfully stated “If you like it— then you should have put a ring on it.” When it comes to love ladies, look no further than the things that make an old outfit new, and a new outfit pure perfection, accessories.

For Your Gals

Over the years Valentines has become Hallmark’s biggest celebration. This mushy love holiday is also turning from men to friends, and I’m not one bit upset about it! Our girlfriends are there when times get tough and sometimes are the only ones we can count on to tell us a shirt is no longer in style. So snag a gift from below, zip up that cute mini dress, and head to your Valentines party or GNO.

For Your Guy

We all adore our men, but sometimes they need a little help. And sometimes a little help means you need a blog link that directs them to a mecca of good accessories they can purchase for your gift. It’s okay, we love them anyways! It is also why I hand-picked these pieces just for that purpose.

For Sweet Ol’ You

And last but NEVER least, don’t forget to give yourself a little love this Valentines. Not that I ever need an excuse to buy myself a handbag, but this is the perfect time to give your collection a little update and not feel guilty about it! Accessorizing is a great way to show yourself just how much you care.

Hope Cupid’s Arrow Finds You!

Holiday Gift Guide

Merry {almost} Christmas and Happy Holidays to You and Yours!!!

Have you gotten all of your holiday shopping done? For all you last minute gift givers {ahem, like me}, this post is for you. Given my recent move, I haven’t had a moment to spare for purchasing anything– so you are NOT alone.

When I’m about to go out to the mall {heaven forbid} either to shop for myself or my clients,  there are so many things that are running in my head like: how can there can be so many people? these lines take forever; this store is just a wreck; the traffic makes me want to cry; will I find parking? I wonder if I can make this at home?

AHHH whatever will I do?!

Well if you’re like me… stop fretting and follow my “Top 10 Bucket List for the Holidays” to usher in peace and cheer.

1.} Make a shopping list and stick to it! Don’t be a slave to the word “sale” and focus on your priorities items. Then get the heck out of the mall and put your pajamas on next to the fire.

2.} Shop online and take advantage of free shipping especially through December 21st which is often the cut off date! It will save you the stress and worry of getting out in the hustle and bustle of the holiday shuffle.

3.} Take advantage of Valet parking when you shop at the mall. You will avoid driving around looking for the perfect space saving you time and energy.

4.} Shop with a friend or family member who is an efficient shopper. Make it a day and pause for a fun lunch and a mid-day cocktail–cause let’s face it–shopping is hard work!

5.} Challenge everyone to put away hand held devices at the dinner table when celebrating your meal times. Prompt meaningful conversation with questions at each place setting to get the dialogue rolling.

6.} Make a holiday playlist of your favorite tunes and gift that instead of a standard christmas card especially for co-workers and family members.

7.} Allow yourself to dance in your pajamas on Christmas morning. Eat pie and sleep late without guilt…for once.

8.} Purchase a decadent holiday coffee creamer and fill your cup to the brim in the morning. For wine drinkers…spend a little more on that bottle of wine you have been saving for a little night cap. I plan to book-end my day with both. Smiling ear to ear.

9.} Make eye contact with your store clerks at the checkout lines and tell them they are beautiful and a hard worker. Remind others that they matter.

10.} Pay for someone’s meal in the drive through line behind you. Random acts of kindness never fail to encourage others during the holiday season.

NOW! For those still not sure what to give your girlfriend, fiancé, wife, or even best friend….I have curated my top ten holiday gift guide including various price points, current trends and staple items.

Melaya Over The Knee Boots {Bark Verona Suede} // NuFace Power Kit // Firebird Wine Cooler // PJ Salvage Jersey Pajamas // Naked Ultimat Basics Pallet // Swell Water Bottle {17 inch} // Skin Rejuvenating Pillow Case // Rest Less Hoodie // Velvet Tunic Dress // Marcie Medium Satchel {color: Nut}

Hope my wish list will give you some inspiration for these crazy shopping days upon us. Holiday Pajama Party!

Blessings and Peace to You All!

I hope your holiday shopping has been stress-free and full of cheer so far! Of course, the malls are always crazy during this time and your favorite websites might be backed up on stock, but remember to be patient and kind to everyone. My goal is to keep positive energy flowing with love and kindness as you never know when it might be brought back to you! This gift-giving season shouldn’t be packed with greediness.

Speaking of gifts, one of my favorite Christmas Eve traditions is to buy the family new pajamas! There is nothing better then hopping into some fun, cozy, and festive pj’s to get yourself in the spirit. Couple that with a fire and some cocoa and you are on your way!

There are so many different styles, fabrics, colors/patterns, and even prices–certainly something for everyone.  As I was on the hunt for my personal pj stash, I noticed that several stores offer great deals like Nordstrom, Old Navy, J. Crew, Target.

And this doesn’t just have to be for the kids, it can be for moms, dads, significant others, and grandparents alike,

Here are some picks I found for women…

Here are some picks I found for men…

Cyber Monday Deals

cyber-monday

Happy Cyber Monday!!!

I hope everyone had a fun time with their family and friends this holiday and that your bellies were equally jazzed by the spread of food. I know mine was!

Can you say stretchy pants?

Of course, after the Thanksgiving splurge, we all anticipate the insanity of shopping on Black Friday as well. Did you partake? Here is my blog from Friday to access links to shop that are still relevant.

To be honest, I typically don’t have the time to stand outside a storefront at 6am to take advantage of all the crazy shopping incentives. BUT I do love a little online shopping that I can do in the comforts of home in my dream pants on CYBER MONDAY–which is the perfect time to secure amazing steals for holiday gifts for your loved ones or even yourself!

So if you have free time during your lunch break at work or if you’re just hanging out at the house, take some time to start browsing your favorite websites to see what deals they might have on the hottest gifts. The perfect way to maximize your shopping dollars and not waste your time is to think BIG. The bigger the store, the bigger the deal. So focus on establishments like Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and many many more.

Perhaps you are in need of a…

New winter coat? Try North Face

New TV or computer? Try Best Buy

New home decor? Try Nordstrom

New pair of shoes? Try Nike

New workout clothes? Try Under Armour

New Kitchen Aid? Try Target

New makeup? Try Ulta

Here are some other fun gadgets and gizmos I adore….

HAPPY HUNTING,

3 Simple Holiday Outfits

1

It’s getting close to Turkey Day?

How are you getting your gobble on?

I seriously cannot believe it’s almost Thanksgiving… and then Christmas…WHAT?! Of course, these upcoming holidays beg the question, “What in the heck do I wear since it really isn’t even sweater-weather? Can you say 80 degrees in November?”

So today I’ve picked out three simple and fuss free outfit concepts as we transition from Fall to Winter to boost your style and confidence.

Outfit #1

This is a timeless yet preppy concept! Add a pair of skinny or boyfriend cut jeans with your favorite ankle booties topped with a basic tee {like I mentioned in the  Four Ways to Style a Basic Tee post} and a classic blazer. To spice things up,  add a scarf for a pop of color as well as some sparkly studs.

Outfit #2

Partner a shirt dress of your choice and with a pair of your go-to riding boots. Then add a bold statement necklace and some delicate earrings and you’re good to go, girl!

Outfit #3

Now this look has become very popular for the busy mom or for individuals for travel focusing on a Tunic tee. I absolutely adore a this longer style of top if  styled appropriately. I love wearing my leather jeggings or skinny jeans with knee-high or over the knee boots. Avoid wearing anything too bulky on the bottom where your proportions will be out of whack. Finish off the look with a long pendent style necklace.

I hope these 3 simple holiday outfit concepts give your wardrobe a little boost! Remember–you don’t have to go out and buy all new stuff to look and feel great. By reinventing your key essentials, that is all it takes!

Fashionably Yours,

Jen Young
